The IX-th Almaty Interbank Conference

On the 24-th of September Ablakhat Kebirov, the chairman of the ?Temirbank? JSC spoke at the IX-th Interbank Conference organized by the BTA Bank.

The IX-th Interbank Conference (AMK) took place since the 24-th till the 25-th September in Almaty under the patronage of the BTA Bank. The theme of the conference was ?World crisis: bank systems of the CIS ? the new rules of the game.

For the two days of conference work the top-managers of the world top-level banks, state structures, stock exchanges and markets, investment funds, rating agencies, audit and juridical companies, international organizations and business mass media shared their ideas, conceptions and solutions.

The discussed topics and scale of work let the AMK belong to the group of three greatest business forums of the CIS. This is one of the reasons of increase of number of participants: for the last years more than 8000 people have taken part in the conference and the geography of the participants has exceeded 30 countries: the CIS, Europe, the Middle East, South-Eastern Asia and North America.

Within the framework of the conference some Round Tables were organized. The 4-th Round Table on the 24-th of September was of great interest for the participants of the Business Forum. The theme of the meeting was ?Management in financial institutions. Systems of internal control?. The speech of Ablakhat Kebirov, the president of the ?Temirbank? JSC was devoted to the problems of internal control and was met with unequivocal approval of the audience. The direct participants of the following discussion were: Michael Khoulett ? the director of the Financial Investigation Bureau (Great Britain), Serik Ospanov ? a deputy of the Mazhilis (Upper Chamber) of the Kazakhstan Parliament, a member of the Kazakhstan Committee on Finances and Budget, Igor Belikov ? the director of the Russian Institute of Directors (RID), Yekaterina Trofimova ? the deputy director of Rating Group of Paris Office Standard&Poor?s, Galina Shalgimbayeva ? the president of GALA Invest Consulting.
The participants shared their opinions and experience in the problems of improvement the systems of internal control of activities of financial organizations during the stress period for this sector.
