JSC Temirbank obtained Master Card Principal member status

At the end of June 2008 JSC Temirbank obtained Master Card Principal member status of international payment system MasterCard International and the right to issue payment cards Maestro, MasterCard Standard, MasterCard Gold and MasterCard Platinum.

MasterCard WorldWide ? an international payment system that covers 22 thousand financial institutions in 210 countries in the world.

Principal member status is only awarded to financial institutions with stable financial key figures, good reputation and an appropriate work experience in card business. The Principal member status gives the bank right to work directly with a payment system.

Since 2002 Temirbank has been a member of international payment systems Visa International and American Express. Membership in MasterCard International in nearest future will provide an opportunity for the bank to issue credit and debit cards MasterCard and Maestro. Consequently, the impact will be an expansion of card products range and increase in client base.

Temirbank is planning to exploit 341 ATMs, more than 130 payment terminals and 750 POS-terminals. In addition, the bank is introducing innovation methods of service to its own clients ?mobile-, Internet- and tele banking.
